The 5 Best Self Help Books By Matt Maresca

I am an avid reader of self help books. I love to get inspired and then make some changes to my life. Each day of my life I try to grow in one area. Self help books give me ideas of new ways to keep myself in constant growth.

Having read a large number of great self help books, it was difficult to narrow my list down to the five best. I feel that this list here should be required reading for anyone, no matter what you do for a living.

In fact, I would recommend you read each book multiple times and take copious notes as you do. The small details that you miss could be the golden nuggets that you need to take your life to the next level.

What is great about this list is that each book covers a different aspect of personal growth.

One book is about creating positive habits for success. The second book is about appreciating the difficulties of life. The third is about improving your relationships with those you come in contact with. The fourth deals with wealth and happiness. And the fifth deals with becoming a master in one area of life.

So without further delay, here is my list of the five best self help books.

1) 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Steven Covey

This is simply a tremendous book on creating positive habits that promote productivity. Covey teaches you how to clear the clutter out of your life and mind and just get things done.

The teachings in this book have inspired many of the top personal development gurus in the world. It is truly a modern classic.

2) The Dip by Seth Godin

This little book does not get the credit it deserves. It is short and to the point. It is an easy read, which allows for immediate action. This book will change the way you view life’s problems.

All of life’s challenges are in place for a reason and Godin explains why you should learn to love these challenges. Seth Godin is a tremendous self help educator and this is, by far, his most underrated work.

3) How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie

This book is a timeless classic. It was written many years ago, but the teachings are still very much valid today. When I first read it, I was skeptical being that it was such an old book.

Yet, when I began reading, I immediately saw the power it holds. If you ever come in contact with another human being in life, this book can help you. It teaches you not only how to make friends, but how to get people to listen to you and respect you.

After reading this book, you will get more out of all your relationships in life…if you apply the principles.

4) 7 Strategies for Wealth and Happiness by Jim Rohn

Jim Rohn is my favorite motivational guru of all time. He was a great speaker and had a great mind. He knew exactly what to say to get things to make sense to people.

This is also clear in his writing. This book will teach you how to change your life by putting yourself in a position for success. Your attitude about wealth and happiness will change after reading this book.

You will go from blaming the world to challenging yourself to rise above it.

5) Mastery: The Keys to Success and Long-Term Fulfillment by George Leonard

This book is unique to anything I have ever read. It teaches you how to take one area of your life and become a complete master of it.

Mastery is really only possible in one thing at a time, yet so many of us try to be good at everything. By focusing on one thing to master, we can create something of high value for the world that will surpass anything else we could have otherwise done.

This is definitely a must read to get you thinking about where you are headed in your life’s journey.

These five best self help books can change your life. In fact, if you allow them to they will change your life. They will change the way you view everything and will help you improve your attitude and habits.

Each day of your life is special. These books will help you grow to make the most of every moment from this day forward.

Almost anyone anywhere can benefit from walking for exercise. You may see in the news that people are getting bigger and bigger, and some of these people are so obese that they cannot exercise in the traditional way. A good start for them is Walking.

No matter what the reason for this overweight problem, there is always a way out. A lifestyle change is usually necessary. Some may even feel it has become hopeless, but there is usually plenty of help much closer than they could have imagined.

Walking for exercise is so simple almost anyone can do it. If you have problems walking from your house to your mailbox, you can still lose weight. You simply start out by walking to your mailbox and back.

The next day, you go a few steps more. As the days go by, you add a little more to your walk. Soon you’ll find that walking for exercise was something that you should have been doing a long time ago.

You may start walking faster and change your pace every few minutes to make it more interesting.

You don’t need to buy expensive equipment to do it, and you can do it any time you can find the free time. Walking is a habit you will truly enjoy once you have cultivated it.

I would recommend walking for exercise for anyone, young or old. If you have children, you should start them walking when they are young. Build the habit early.

Don’t tell them that they are walking for exercise, make it fun. Take the walks with them and spend quality time together. See your neighborhood from a different perspective.

If you live in a bad neighborhood, or at the top of a high-rise building in the middle of the city, it might be harder for you to go outside and walk. You may want to walk the stairwells once in a while.

No matter what the environment, there are still places you can walk somewhere during each day. If there’s a park nearby, you can take your children there for a leisurely walk.

Walking for exercise is so much easier when you have great scenery and interesting conversation to go along with you.

If you do your walking by yourself, go out by yourself a CD player or mp3 player so you have some easy listening, or motivating talk programs. Make it fun.

The key is to enjoy your walks and look forward to making it a regular part of your day.

See you next time.

With all the hype surrounding Losing Weight how do you know if a Weight Loss Program is for you? And will it work for YOU? There are so many to choose from.

Five Ways to Determine if a Weight Loss Program is Right for You

With the constant onslaught of messages from the media about the latest fad diet and that perfect weight loss plan, it can be hard to know which way to turn.

It seems like every day, someone new is promising some kind of weight loss miracle – the one plan you have been waiting for all of these years.

How do you know which plans are worth trying and which plans are just a waste of your time?

The truth is that there is only one person who knows the perfect diet plan for you – and that it YOU. When you find the right diet for you, you will be able to stick with it and succeed. So, learn to drown out the background noise and evaluate diets on their merit specifically for you.

The first thing you need to consider is the food that the diet requires you to eat. Do you like it? Will you eat it? Some people are tempted to think that if they choose a diet that relies heavily on food they don’t like, they will skip meals and lose even more weight. That plan is one destined to fail.

If you don’t like the food on a diet, you may be able to make it through a few days of skipped meals and skimpy portions, but you’ll soon find yourself making a run for the fast food drive thru or gorging on chocolate bars to make up for the eating you have missed.

Instead, look for a diet that matches your style of eating and lets you have some variety. For instance, if you are a vegetarian, the Atkins Diet is probably not your cup of tea, and a dyed-in-the-wool meat and potato person is not going to be happy on a raw food diet.

Remember, you’re not trying to punish yourself – you’re trying to find a new, healthy lifestyle you can live with.

Next, find out what kind of activity is required to maintain the diet, and decide if you can commit to it. Some diets don’t want you to exercise at all during the first few weeks, which is enough to put a fitness buff over the edge.

Alternatively, if a diet requires you to exercise for an hour a day, and you haven’t been off the couch in months, you need something with a slower start.

The third thing to ask yourself is if you have enough time for the diet. The menus for some diets require you to do some pretty extensive meal planning and make you spend a lot of time in the kitchen chopping and cooking.

When you’re working 40+ hours a week, raising a family and are used to depending on the local delivery service, this addition to your schedule may be enough to lead you to diet failure. If you like to cook, these kinds of plans are fine.

If you need to diet on the go, consider a diet that relies heavily on prepared and packaged food.

One question that people often neglect to ask themselves is whether or not they can afford a diet plan. Diets that involve eating packaged meals for every meal can be extremely expensive, and protein only diets can take a serious bite out of your budget as well.

The object is to make you, not your pocketbook, thinner, so choose a plan that fits your budget.

Last but not least, ask yourself if you are really ready to diet. If you can look at the diet as an exciting step towards a new life, you are probably ready to make the commitment and get it done.

If you are dreading day one, binging the night before, then maybe you are not in the diet frame of mind yet. Set yourself up for success by dieting when you are inspired to stick with it. And that may not be now . . .

Learn How To Develop Self Motivation Through Goal Setting on The Realgoalgetter Website
———————-
If you are a single mother, your motivation to work could be your children. If you are an employee who is just starting out on a new job, your motivation could be the fact that you are aiming for a promotion. A student could be motivated to ace an exam to get into a particular university.

When you ask the question about what makes a person ‘tick’, you are basically looking for the reasons or motivations behind one’s actions.

Without ‘motive’ or motivation that is, your actions and decisions in life would have no direction.

Some middle age people suffer from some sort of mid-life crisis, they often wonder about the reason behind what’s going on in their lives.

What’s happening is that they have lost sight of who they are or wondering who they are turning into. They are actually having an identity crisis, they think that age has somehow changed them.

If you have built a proper and positive motivation behind your actions, there is no need to look for hidden reasons because your goals in life are clearly outlined and all the reasons have been determined.

There are several factors that can be attributed to a person’s motivation. To have a clearer understanding of the reasons behind a persons’ motivation, let’s just take a look at the following two factors:

1.	Intrinsic Rewards
Why do people work for a living? The most basic reason is to earn money to have the means to buy food, clothes, other necessities, and as well as pamper your self with some luxury items.

These are the forms of intrinsic rewards which can be the motivation behind a person who works hard at his or her position in a company.

If you are earning incentives at work, this could be your motivation to put in longer hours. If you are saving for a car or a house, this could be your motivation to work doubly hard.

All of these intrinsic rewards are natural – and a rather common motivation for many.

2.	Personal Motivation
We all have our personal goals that we would like to achieve. Be it fighting for a cause that you strongly believe in, or getting the praise or reward that you feel you aptly deserve – these personal motivators can be the reason behind your actions.

If you put together the right amount of push towards a particular goal or direction in life and you combine it with positive thinking and proper motivation, you can definitely boost your self-esteem and self-worth.

By having a clear picture of what you want in life, you can easily use any either personal motivators or intrinsic rewards so that you can work doubly hard and be inspired enough to achieve your goals.

Best Diet to Maintain a Fast Metabolic Rate

Basic Metabolic Rate depends on various factors, some of them being age, gender, body composition, genetic and various external and internal factors.

You can maintain a fast and healthy metabolic rate if you follow a proper balanced and nutritious diet, and if you combine it with physical activity.

Aside from eating the right foods to boost your metabolic rate, there are other routines regarding timing and quantity of food intake that can affect your metabolism.

Thus, to keep your metabolic rate at a fast and steady pace, you have to eat the right types of food at regulated times and in the right quantities. Eat properly and minimally, but eat more often.

For instance, if you have been going for walks regularly and still find that you are gaining weight, you need to watch your diet. It’s a good idea to eat lesser calories. Yet, more often than not, in a frenzy to lose weight, we starve or go on crash diets, which result in severe depletion of nutrition, and lowering of metabolism.

It is recommended that you should never go below 1200 calories per day – as this is the minimum energy level needed for your metabolism. Of course, these critical calories must come from healthy nutritious food.

You can improve your metabolism by proper diet alone, but to lose weight, more physical exercise is necessary for you to get the the desired result. Reduce portions and serving sizes, and just eat more often.

From the above information, one question that pops up is what a ‘serving’ is as this is a relative term and may vary from one individual to the other.

You can do a search for the National Institutes of Health (1998) and American Diabetic Association Exchange List using Google and you’ll find a listing of their updated current recommended servings.

Here are some golden rules to be followed if you are looking for the right diet for maintaining a fast metabolic rate.

-	Never miss breakfast (really, never miss a meal)

-	Eat six smaller meals a day (or healthy snacks)

-	Leave out foods rich in fat

-	Have plenty of fish

-	Minimize processed food intake

- Maximize natural foods rich in fiber

-	Slowly increase your intake of green leafy vegetables.

Taking care in what foods you choose to put into your body, and when, will help you increase and speed up your metabolism, thereby helping you lose weight all day long.

Overcoming Laziness and Winning At The Game Of Life

When we were young, we had so many plans. We’d always think about the limitless possibilities we’d have when we grow up. Then we go about playing, thinking that we have so much time ahead.

We set those dreams aside and enjoy our youth to the fullest. While this may be a healthy attitude, some people take relaxation to another level. They procrastinate and postpone their planning until too late.

They suddenly find themselves already grown up with no clear direction in their lives. They still depend on their parents for financial support even when moving out of the house is way overdue.

Sometimes they live in shame, but still don’t find the initiative to do something about it. This is the effect of laziness in its most basic and blatant form.

Many people come across as lazy because they don’t know how to go about accomplishing their dreams. They don’t know how to set and axchieve goals. Quite simply, they have never been taught.

So, sometimes in order to overcome laziness, you must temporarily allow yourself to be the laziest person on earth. Give yourself permission to do nothing but think. Take some time to take stock.

Yes. Give yourself some more time off, about a week or two, just so that this too doesn’t go on forever. Set your time limit for getting it all together, and starting out again properly.

Think about how things would be for you if you didn’t have your parents or friends to depend on. Obviously, you wouldn’t have much to live with.

Everything you need to live today requires money: TV, electricity, and so on. But. focus your attention for the moment on just being lazy and avoid contact with friends as much as possible. Go ahead, be lazy, get it out of your system.

Basically, you would be doing nothing but getting bored out of your wits. Of course, you must not mistake temporarily taking some time out, as just being permanently lazy.

Look at this as your chance to recuperate and get over all your fears and uncertainties. Your body and mind will work things out in ways you aren’t always conscious of. Let your subconcious start working out a plan for you to put into action when your lazy time is complete.

Sometimes you need time to take a step back to take two steps forward. You just need to finally imagine and create a reality of your own. This sort of play can produce your most creative spark. You will begin to look forward to ending this forced laziness, and be productive.

Get excited, document the details of your new life the way you want to have them. Whether you choose to draw, write, or record your story, just know that the act itself can be very helpful and prophetic. Setting your goals and making your plans is the first step to achievement.

The reason for this purposeful inactivity is to inspire you to do more and to make plans that will help you achieve what you want. Step outside yourself and look inside. Do you still see a lazy person, or just someone doing the best he can with what he has given?

Don’t allow the past to determine or limit who you are, use your future actions to identify with and expand your thinking to that of a joyful, high energy, successful person. Imagine yourself as a person who loves be active, loves to live every minute of life, a person who wouldn’t dream of sitting around letting life pass him by.

So, who are you now? Don’t you have massive potential? Who do you want to become? Start being that person when you are ready to go for it. Remember to put the past where it belongs – in the past. You will live the rest of your life in the future. And the future is bright, motivating, and productive.

You can do much more than you think. Go for it!

Why is Weight Loss Important?

If you are happy with your weight, you belong to the minority of people in the world, but should be applauded for your positive outlook on your life and your body.

However, weight loss still may be needed. Many people who are overweight say that they are happy with their bodies, but the fact remains that weight loss in order to achieve a healthy weight is very important.

There are a number of reasons you should consider weight loss, even if you don’t mind having a few extra pounds.

First and foremost, if you are overweight, you are at risk for a number of diseases.

The main health risk you will probably experience is heart disease, which can lead to a heart attack. Many heart attacks are deadly and can come without warning.

Heart disease develops when you heart has to work extra hard to pump the blood to the body, which causes it to become fatigued. This can occur simply because you are overweight, or can be a result of high blood pressure or high cholesterol.

Along with heart disease, having high blood pressure and high cholesterol levels can also put you at risk for a stroke.

Strokes occur when blood, and therefore oxygen, cannot reach the brain. This can happen due to high cholesterol. When you have high cholesterol, the fatty deposits build up on your artery walls.

If a piece of this plaque breaks off and travels to the heart, it causes a heart attack, and traveling to the brain causes a stroke.

Being overweight is also bad for women who wish to become pregnant. When you’re overweight, the hormones in your body are changing, and if you don’t get the right nutrients you may find that your body does not produce the right chemicals for the hormones needed to ovulate or carry a child.

Even if you become pregnant, being overweight puts you at risk for a miscarriage or health problems with the baby.

Beyond the health world, being overweight can also affect your daily life. You may find it difficult to purchase clothing in your size or you may find that the clothing that does come in larger sizes is more expensive.

This is simply due to the manufacturers need more material to make the same article of clothing, and also there is lower demand for oversize clothes in fashion.

Problems extend beyond shopping when doing things like visiting theme parks, where you may not be able to ride all of the rides, or using public transportation, where you may feel crowded in seats made for smaller people.

Losing weight, even if you are currently happy with your own weight, is always a healthy and smart option, until you reach your normal healthy weight.

Sell Yourself, Make Your Goals Important And Irresistible!

When I am discussing goals with people, some just haven’t got the idea. You really need to get leverage on yourself. Working towards what you want can be downright hard work. If you haven’t created the proper mindset, goals will be missed and your self image could take a negative hit.

Your goals should be so exciting and motivating that you almost can’t live without them. Put everything in your favor when setting out for what you want. This is a great exercise to get the fires burning again when your motivation falls away, or you start putting important tasks off.

I must admit, I work on this one every three months or so. Some goals where I generate very little interest or sincerity, I will throw out and then I go after the ones that move me emotionally.

For those of you who have never read this article, there is a lot to digest here today, you might want to come back and do the exercise when you have scheduled a block of time.

So, during the conversation I might spit out, ‘Just SSERC yourself on your goals.’ Yeah, then I usually get the response. “What the heck did you say?” or I get a blank stare. Oh my God, now I’ve put them into a trance.

Well, this acronym stands for a set of terms you can use to sell yourself on the importance of the goals you have commited to.

It is your selling plan, or presentation you will make to yourself to explode you towards what you want. Salespeople do it to you all the time, you might as well take the advantage and consciously sell yourself.

Have you sold yourself on your goals? Do you want them with all your heart? Are you ready to do whatever it takes? Are you really commited to making it happen?

If you are already, then disregard all of the following, and you might as well not read further into this article. There is nothing more for you here. If you aren’t taking the actions necessary to move forward and get what you want, then take a seat and read on.

SSERC stands for a great selling formula.

1. Summarize the situation.

2. State the idea.

3. Explain how it works.

4. Reinforce the key benefits.

5. Close the sale.

OK, let’s start this goal setting exercise. Choose a goal that you haven’t made much progress towards, if any so far.

Remember you are giving this sales presentation to yourself. Put some thought and effort into it. Let each point run smoothly into the next. Don’t prejudge this exercise, this stuff works if you work it!

Summarize the situation.

This is the ‘as is’ situation. Write down what you have now, or what you don’t have now, the good and the bad. I guess that there is really no good or bad, just what is. What you are happy with, and what you are not happy with. Your life as it stands today according to this one goal.

State the idea.

This stands for the particular goal you chose. The main idea that this specific goal represents. What does it mean to you, what’s your real reward for attaining this goal. What’s in it for you? This is what your idea of the future should be or could be once you have realized this goal and have it in your life. Write it down at this point.

Explain how it works.

This is your plan to attain your goal. What you are willing to do or give in return for getting what you want? What value will you create in return for your goal?

Write it all down in detail, outlining the price you will pay, the effort you will make. Write down what is preventing you from moving forward with it, and how you are going to overcome that.

Remember you are the salesperson selling this idea to yourself. Persist. Don’t take an excuse or a ‘no’ for an answer, press forward with how you are going to enjoy this goal once you have achieved it. Figure out how to make this very important sale!

Document all of the benefits you will receive from attaining this goal. Think deeply about what these would be, really spend some time on this. Write it all down, everything you need to organize to get what you are after.

Reinforce the key benefits.

Now there will usually be one or two overwhelming key benefits you will get from this. Something you care about deeply. If you don’t, then make something up. What could you care about deeply in this situation, if you wanted to care? What are the key benefits you will receive?

How can you make them visually big in your mind? How can you make them stand out above all the other little goals? How can you make this an obsession that you must work toward?

This is also the part where you document the downsides of not assertively and aggressively pursuing your goal. This is where you get to feel the pain and weight of the regret you would feel if you don’t follow through with your action plan.

All the negative experiences which will accrue to you if you let your goal go un-achieved. The pain and sorrow of taking the negative hit on your self image and esteem because you hadn’t the courage to force your way through to completion.

Come on, work with this until you’ve made it absolutely, positively impossible not to act on your plan! You have made yourself an offer you cannot refuse, and you must act on it!

Close the sale.

Make the commitment. Sign on the bottom line. Decide that you will rerun these benefits through your mind until such times as you have in your possession what you want, what you are after.

Now, if you wouldn’t sign an agreement with yourself that would commit you to your course of action, then you haven’t applied enough internal pressure or leverage to make the sale.

Go back to your goals and concentrate on your key benefits and key massive downsides and work yourself into the hungry state necessary to make this happen for you. This is too important not to follow through.

What do you have to say to yourself to persuade yourself to the point where there is no turning back; that you will persevere until you have paid the full asking price?

I know this is a big exercise and it does take some time to complete. For today, just get started. Starting is where all the power is anyway. A job started is a job half done.

Start selling yourself today, and then keep selling yourself until you have what you want. Focus on the benefits. See yourself getting all the goodies, and talk about it all the time!

The people who quit on themselves before they achieved what they had set out to do; lost their focus, turned around and sold themselves on why they can’t or won’t get what they after by going through all the reasons why they shouldn’t succeed.

Stay positive and keep selling those benefits to yourself until you reach your goal . . . And then, go set another really big goal!

One Focus To Success

Too many times we are distracted from our main goal and purpose by all of the different things out there that we want, or think we want. Instead of making choices, we seem to want it all, everything we come across. Too many conflicting desires is a recipe for disaster.

With every goal which does not align with our main definite goal or purpose, our percentage chance to achieve it goes down. With dilution, our focus and concentration lose strength, and we lose momentum with each direction change.

Another potential downside to having too many goals and not attaining them, is the potential negative hit to our self image. This could be disempowering in the long term if not put into it’s proper perspective.

So what do we do? Hold our desires in check? Forget about all those other things we want?

No way! Never isolate yourself from your desires. Bond with them, make them important, and “do or die” – “what ever it takes”. You can happily move towards their achievement. Timing and Strategy may change but the goal is in the bank.

First thing to do right now is DECIDE that wanting more is OK. This is a very human thing and it drives progress.

Napoleon Hill stated that ‘The Master Key To Riches’ was the development of a burning desire for the achievement of a major definite purpose. (loosely quoted, but this is true)’

Riches’ do not just include money or things, but everything that enriches our lives, and this is different for everyone.

Now to take ‘Nappy’ literally, one would have to have a single focus that they would develop into a Magnificent Obsession, again nothing negative about this.

If you want several different things all at once, and if you do not have a plan for their attainment, then, it is likely that it will split your focus in too many directions, and you will achieve none of them.

However . . . if you connect them up by going after a single massive undertaking which when achieved gets you all of the above, then your focus would be laser sharp and your concentration would be unbroken. And you would have all of the objects of your desire!

Now, if you do not have a Single Massive All Encompassing Focus, then, a substitute plan would be to list all that you want on paper. Then, start arranging them in order of importance to you. Most important on top, least important on bottom.

Decide what is most important to you. If that is difficult, then start eliminating those goals you can do without. (eliminate them just like those reality shows do) You will be left by default with the most important goal to go after. As for the others, Go after them one at a time.

Either way you will come out with a single focus so that you can plan a strategy to attain it. And your power will be centered and your momentum will build towards achieving what you want.

Take it for what it’s worth . . .

Are your goals SMART? – Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Rewarding, Time-Deadlined

Just about everyone has heard about the SMART Goal Setting method. But are you really using it. Proper goal setting seems to be a lot of work, and takes considerable time to set up. Many people stop short of completing the necessary detail to maintain their focus long after the novelty has long worn off. Hence, “The New Year’s Resolution” syndrome of stopping short of getting what you want, prevails.

Goal Setting is easy and fun to maintain, once you have the fundamental work completed, because you are gathering momentum, and attaining success one step at a time! It is much easier to continue along a chosen path when you know that it is only a matter of time until you have what you want.

Magnify and Intensify your Desire, bring it closer, see it clearly and make it larger, sharpen and maintain your focus. A-h-h-h. There’s the rub, How do you maintain focus, and minimize distraction on the road to what you want? When all seems lost, how do you keep getting back up for more? Have Great reasons, and Keep Them in Front of You Always!

Whenever possible, once you decide on what you want, take some action, view the exact model of what you want, and do it as many times as necessary to burn the desire you have for this goal into your subconscious mind. Write down every detail that you love and appreciate about your goal.

Use all of your senses in describing it, eyes for seeing how it looks, nose for smelling how it smells, mouth for tasting exactly how delicious, how it feels to the touch, experience all the different textures, etc., capture every delightful detail in your mind. This will always magnify, and intensify your desire and focus, instead of just looking at pictures alone. However, you will still want pictures too!

Take Pictures of your goals and place them everywhere:

On and in your day timer

On your fridge

On your bathroom mirror

On your bedroom wall, frame a collage of pictures

In work binders

On home office wall

On your desk at work

Make them your wallpaper on your computer

Email pictures to yourself, or have a close friend email them. Put them everywhere you spend time each day.

Make your own audio tape in your own voice, using your posture and physiology of excitement, energy and determination, make it descriptive, from a script taken while looking at what you want – smell, touch, feel, and imagine it. Listen to this tape frequently.

Have someone make a video presentation of you with your goals – detailed, then do theirs! Have fun with this. Watch videos of the rich and famous. Experience everything!

Goals like cars or boats, or winnebagos – to dealerships, get in, take pictures, smell them, feel the upholstery, go for a test drive, sit in them, close your eyes and visualize you in it, feel the emotions rising up, those you hold onto, go see them as often as you need to – get it in focus, and maintain your high levels desire

Dream Homes – get home magazines, real estate papers, architectural magazines, any publications that are relevant to your focus, immerse yourself totally!

Go to open houses, new home models, take pictures when you can, and you will come across something that fires you up.

Go to places like Home Depot, find everything you want, inside and outside, go to the furniture store, pick out the furniture, just like you want – visit these places as often as needed, with everything, take pictures, feel the feelings, as if you already are in possession of it all! Lock in that thought.

Travel Goals – pick up brochures, read magazines and books pertaining to the places you want to go, the things you want to do and see there.

Talk to travel agents that take a lot of trips to those areas that interest you and seek the inside story on the places to take in while you’re there.

Make a budget for all you want to do and have during your stay, and imagine you are already there and ready to go!

Make up score cards and update them frequently so you can see your progress towards each goal.

See in your mind’s eye how you are making it. Immerse yourself in it! Have it on your mind always. Look for every opportunity to concentrate your power on getting it.

The human brain is the most awesome instrument for creating what it focuses on. Keep what you want front and center, and your subconscious mind will go to work for you and show you the way! And remember that you can only think one thought at a time, so make it a thought that serves you.

There are many ways to get your internal fires burning. Find out what works best for you. This is enough to get you started for now.
