The Mighty Reusable Peanut Butter Jar By Linda Manley

Storage is an issue for almost everyone. Some people earn a living by helping others learn how to store everything they own. This article concentrates on the small things, especially food storage in the kitchen. How to store small bits of leftovers can be a puzzle.

Many people toss leftover food because they don’t know how to store it or they just don’t want to mess with it. How wasteful! Maybe they don’t own storage containers. Or maybe they have lots of containers, but they are all stuffed in the back of a cupboard. Lid? Who knows where the lid is? Did that ever have a lid?

Plastic storage containers are available in endless sizes, shapes, and styles. Most seem to be flat; that is, wide and shallow. Some are a bit taller, either round or square, and have proportions sort of like a cube.

The down side of such containers is the amount of space they take up in your fridge or cupboard. Even if they are clear, the plastic is cloudy and not much surface area is exposed. It’s difficult to tell what is inside, especially if you stack the containers to save space.

Without picking it up or finding what you wrote on the lid (yes, you can write on the lid), the contents remain a mystery.

Enter: the empty peanut butter jar! I love empty peanut butter jars for storage! Look at their advantages:

They are unbreakable.

They are completely clear.

Their footprint in the fridge is small.

They’re lightweight.

You can stack them.

You store them with the lid on, so it’s never lost.

They’re recyclable.

And they’re free!

Plus, they have a wide opening, and you can pour liquids from them without spilling. They are a wonderful container for storing almost any food. (OK, not a leftover roast turkey.)

Nuts for baking and cooking (pecans, almonds, walnuts, etc.) come in plastic or cellophane bags, which are not very sturdy for long-term storage. I transfer the nuts to a peanut butter jar and store them in the freezer to stay fresh longer.

A small amount of uncooked pasta, dried beans, or lentils stored in a peanut better jar is easier to manage. It won’t accidentally come open and spill the contents into the far corners of your cupboard.

You can snip cooking directions from the label and tuck them into the jar. An extra benefit is that the jar is insect-proof, if that is a problem in your area.

We eat fruit on our cereal every morning. Whether I buy fresh or frozen fruit, I store it in a peanut butter jar in the fridge. If fresh, berries remain plump without getting smashed.

If frozen, the jar holds enough thawed fruit for just a few days, so it’s always fresh. When I dice the fruit in advance, such as frozen peaches or strawberries, the no-spill, no-mess guarantee of a jar is welcome in the morning fog.

I use peanut butter jars to store small amounts of orange juice, gravy, and creamy salads. If we open a large can of pineapple juice for summer cocktails, peanut butter jars offer the perfect way to store the leftover juice in the freezer. I’m sure you can think of a dozen other uses for peanut butter jars!

So fix lots of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for your grandkids, and remember that it’s a protein-rich lunch for yourself. Then save and reuse the mighty peanut butter jar!

Credit Card Consolidation – What You Need to Know Before Consolidating Debt By Amy Cooper-Arnold

Consolidate! It seems to be the new fad in the world of consumer debt–the magic bullet that will effectively rid your life of all problems with credit card debt.

The advertisers, credit counselors, and financial experts are all shouting out:

“Slash your interest rate!”

“Save thousands of dollars!”

“With one low, monthly payment you’ll have extra money!”

And you know what? Consolidation can be a great option for digging your way out of credit card debt. But what the advertisements don’t tell you is that it’s not a magic bullet. Consolidation is a re-payment plan that is successful only when you are determined to do what it takes to make it work. It will take planning, determination, and a little elbow grease. But you can do it! Here’s what you need to know.

Find the Underlying Cause

The first step in any debt re-payment plan is determining the underlying cause; otherwise, the problem will happen again and again. Typically the problem is not the credit card itself. They are a great tool of convenience and security. Many people use them in a financially responsible way everyday. So if the problem is not the credit card, what is?

Overspending Habits

Let’s go ahead and face it. Sometimes the problem comes with just the bad habit of spending too much money. Credit expert Gerri Detweiler, author of The Ultimate Credit Handbook and founder of DebtConsolidationRx.com, says the two largest areas people tend to overspend is in the area of food and transportation. She’s heard of people spending $160 a month at the office vending machine! So maybe it’s time to take a reality check. Spend a month tracking every single expense down to the penny to see where your money is going. Then take the time, and maybe even help from a credit counselor, to setup a budget and a plan to stick with it.

A Life Crisis

Emergencies happen to everyone. Unfortunately people we love die, life-long careers disappear, and, as we’ve all seen in the news lately with Hurricane Katrina, natural disasters create havoc. All too often we are unprepared for such events and we end up putting a lot of expenses on credit cards. As you analyze your budget, it’s a good idea to determine a set amount to save each month for emergencies. Ideally, if your budget allows for it, a good amount is 5-10% of your take-home income. But if you can’t manage that much, then set aside as much as you can.

Big Life Events

Now I’m talking about events we expect–weddings, babies, college educations, family vacations, etc. Don’t let these events sneak up on you without some financial planning. The earlier you start, the better off you’ll be. And if for some reason the anticipated event doesn’t occur, at least you’ve built yourself a nice little nest egg.

Setting Aside Credit Cards for a Time

When you start consolidating debt it’s important not to accumulate any new debt. Trying to deal with a consolidation loan along with new consumer debt only builds layer upon layer of financial trouble. The accounts don’t have to necessarily be closed, but at least put the credit cards in an inconvenient location such as in a cup of frozen water in the back of the freezer, a safe deposit box, or even six feet under in your backyard! Once the consolidation loan is paid off, you’ve brought your finances back under control, and you’ve learned new healthy financial habits, then go ahead and bring them out from hiding if you want.

Lower Payment vs. Lower Cost

A big mistake many people make when consolidating debt is looking at the payment amount alone. Sure you can lump all your payments together into one low monthly payment, but what is your interest rate, fees, and length of the loan? A $5,000 loan at 10% for 15 years with a monthly payment of only $53 will cost you $2,000 more than the same amount at 18% for 5 years with a monthly payment of $126.

Consolidation Options

Now let’s take a look at some of the options for consolidating. When it comes to consolidating your credit card debt you have several options at your disposal, each with its own set of pros and cons. Here’s a brief description of some popular options along with their relative pros and cons.

Low-Rate Credit Cards

If your credit rating is good enough to qualify for a low-rate credit card, possibly even a zero percent introductory rate, transferring all your higher rate credit card balances could be a good option. This option generally works best if you can pay the balance off within one year. Check out our Card Reports section to evaluate different low-rate credit card offers.

Pros

* If you qualify for a low-introductory rate card you may get the benefit of not paying any interest for a time.

Cons

* Excessive transfer and new account activity on your credit history could cause you to have a poor credit score. This is bad when your low-rate credit card expires and you aren’t able to qualify for a new card. You could be stuck with a high interest rate.
* Watch out for balance transfer fees. Fees could potentially outweigh any interest savings that you might realize.

Home Equity Loan or Home Equity Line of Credit

Because you’re using your home as collateral for this type of debt, it’s imperative that you really understand your repayment plan and deal with the issues that got you into debt in the first place. Detweiler suggests this is not a good option in a hardship or crisis situation, including a job loss, since failure to pay back a home equity loan could result in the loss of your home.

Pros

* Usually a lower interest rate.
* Interest is normally tax deductible.
* Your monthly payment will usually be lower so you can use the difference between it and your fixed monthly debt payment to start building an emergency fund.

Cons

* You will be trading unsecured debt for secured debt putting your home at risk. If you miss even one payment you could lose your home, whereas if you left it as credit card debt you would still have a place to live.
* You could end up paying a lot of money in fees such as closing costs and appraisal fees. Make sure you shop around to find the best deal.
* The entire loan must be repaid before you can sell your house.

Personal Loan

Because of the potential effects of high credit card debt on your credit rating it may be difficult to qualify for an unsecured personal loan with a decent interest rate. If your credit rating is good you may qualify for a rate in the low-teens, but if it’s poor you may end up paying around 20 percent. Shop around at a variety of financial institutions including credit unions to compare the cost of fees and interest. And be aware that generally the extra products they try to sell aren’t worth the cost you’ll pay.

Pros

* Can get good rates, especially if you are a member of a credit union and have good credit.
* Unsecured so you don’t have to worry about losing your home.

Cons

* Your credit rating could drop further because of credit inquiries, closing old accounts, and opening new accounts.
* Additional fees.

History of LA Weight Loss By Dino Sanchez

In most cases, commercials do not usually provide people with the information they need regarding the LA Weight Loss and this can cause a lot of confusion.

Well the history of LA Weight Loss indicates that it is a fantastic form of support group with personalized nutrition guides and various exercise routines to lose weight.

The amount of time and money you sacrifice for the program is determined by your personal needs. Weight loss strategy usually involves the LA Weight Loss centers assigning a personal trainer or counselor and provide professional dietitians on site to encourage and help you towards your goal to lose weight.

For some locations, LA Weight Loss centers provide a free trial of their services and this can be useful for you to catch a glimpse of how it actually works. Usually information about various types of packages available in the weight loss centers will be given in detail when you sign up for a free trial course.

LA Weight Loss and its centers indicate that in most cases each package will include weekly meeting with your personal counselor who will then proceed to assist you in coming up with a customized, healthy menu to assist in a successful weight loss.

The main difference between the packages is actually determined by your decision on how long you wish to stay on with the program. Goals for weight loss and your exercise and diet plans will be the main factors behind your decision to either stay with the program for a long time or just a short time.

In many cases, your friends and families can be at a point where they do not fully understand why you are so concerned with your excess weight, and the reason behind why you are showing a sudden interest in the LA Weight Loss program. This can be easily resolved by just informing them that the program provides you with a community of support people that understands what you are going through and can be the right people to help you.

Examples of support given can include sponsors helping you to avoid the urge to consume sweet and salty snacks late at night and forcing yourself to go to the gym for exercises when in truth you do not feel like it.

As the past record of LA Weight Loss shows, fun filled and exciting programs will be given throughout the week to increase excitement and motivation as well. This is because, you get to share tips and recipes with fellow community members and there will be no judging of you, just full support from the members.

The counselors in the programs provide good and helpful support for you as weekly meeting are held to discuss how the week has been going in terms of your daily activities and eating habits. If you find yourself going through a hard time with the course then counselors are there to help motivate you and pick out alternative options to help you get back on the weight loss track as they are professionally trained.

For example if running is not your cup of tea as a method to lose weight because it is not exciting enough, then your counselor might suggest running with a friend or family member whom you can talk to while running or jogging which would help immensely and make it more fun.

Food can be your best friend or worst enemy when it comes to losing weight. It all depends on how you go about eating them and in how much quantity and that is why it is important to gather the right knowledge on how food affects your body system.

Most dietitians will usually tell you that it is not the eating of unhealthy food that be hazardous to your health and increase weight gain but it is mainly eating too much of it, too often. That is why dietitians will know best to guide you towards meal plans that you can enjoy healthy portions together with a good nutritional balance.

The History of LA Weight Loss indicates that people in these programs are usually very successful in their attempts to lose weight quickly and safely.

What can save my marriage when everything I do seems hopeless?

Marriage is considered a sacred institution by most of the world’s religions. It is the foundation of the family, which, in turn, is the foundation for society. So, there is a lot of emphasis on saving a marriage.

But that doesn’t mean that marriages today don’t run into trouble. The changing roles of men ad women, financial pressures, and difficulties with children all make it hard to make marriages work.

So who or what do you turn to?

Perhaps the best place to look is the institution that values marriage more than any other – your church.

While a clinical psychologist or licensed family therapist will take an individualistic approach to marriage counseling, your pastor will focus on making the marriage work in a wholistic sense. Over all, this has a better chance of actually saving the marriage.

Why is a pastoral counselor better than a secular therapist?

A secular therapist’s education focuses almost entirely on treating individual psychopathologies. Even “Marriage and Family” designated counselors may have only one class or elective dealing specifically with couple’s therapy. Do you think this approach can save marriage?

A pastoral counselor, on the other hand, will be educated in how to bring couples closer together. With the exception of abuse in the relationship, they have the fundamental belief that once the vows are taken, the marriage is forever.

Some pastoral counselors have formal education in counseling. More and more seminaries are offering pastoral counseling degrees. But even ministers without a formal degree take classes and seminars in the subject.

If you don’t have a church home, you might have some difficulty finding a pastor to help you. And, you probably don’t have six months to establish membership in a church before approaching the pastor.

In this case, you can call various churches and ask them if they have any upcoming couples retreats where you can save marriage through these weekend seminars.

Once you have established a relationship with a skilled pastor in these settings, you may be able to do follow up counselor with the same person.

A good couple’s retreat will help you deal with many different types of issues. There will be group sessions and couple’s sessions. You will also have time to work on questions individually.

Communication is a big issue at these conferences. If you can work on your communications issues, you will find that the other pieces of the relationship fall into place.

Sex, finances, and child raising are also addressed. The goal is to get you back on track in every aspect of your relationship. You don’t have to be on the same page going in, but the hope is that you will be when you leave.

Marriage can be tough. Sometimes it seems like the relationship cannot endure. But, there are so many reasons to see if you can make it work. In this case, consider seeing if a pastor can save your marriage first.

———————————————-

Trying to figure out how to get your ex boyfriend back without becoming “that crazy chick?”

Don’t worry, it can be done, but be careful about whose advice you follow. The problem is a lot of women collect every trick in the book and then use them all at once. Talk about overkill.

To help you keep your guy and your self respect in the process, here are some no-stress, no-drama tips on how to get your ex boyfriend back.

Take time out!
Take some time out Whatever you do, don’t act on the emotions you have right after the breakup.

Maybe you feel like showing up at his house with a batch of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and pouring your heart out about everything you did wrong.

Don’t. Give it some time. Sleep on it. Once you’ve had a few days to gain some perspective though, you’ll see that’s a bad idea.

Don’t even so much as IM your ex until you at least feel like you can live without him. When you talk to your guy again, you need to come across as fun and attractive—or at least emotionally stable—or you risk scaring him off for good.

Think over why you broke up. Let’s face it, when we get used to a guy, we can all become a little demanding, nagging, and overly emotional. Take a long hard look at how you’ve changed since you first met each other and take steps to show your ex you won’t be like that again.

This is another reason most tips on how to get your ex boyfriend back will tell you to rein in your emotions and be more like the fun, confident woman you were when he first met you.

Stay attractive!
You may not know this exactly, but if you have some idea of what it was about you your guy found attractive, play up that trait a little (assuming you enjoy it, too).

Maybe you loved to go hiking together or he admired your passion for politics. Whatever it was, get involved with it again and make sure your mutual friends know.

One thing you don’t want to do yet though, is start dating someone else right away. Your ex might presume you’re no longer interested in him and then not even try to make contact even if he does start missing you.

Get good advice!
As you’ve probably noticed, just about everyone has an opinion to give you on how to get your ex boyfriend back. While some of your friends might come up with pretty practical advice, you never know which tip might backfire on you.

To keep things simple, look for proven advice from those experienced in mending relationships, such as marriage counselors.

The main thing to keep in mind when you’re trying to decide how to get your ex boyfriend back is to stay calm and not grab at every piece of advice you come across.

As long as your ex sees you really are still the person he used to love; following a proven plan from a professional relationship counselor can bring your guy back faster than you might think.

Tried and True strategies are included in our new website GettingYourExBoyfriendBack.

Getting an ex back is hard if you were the one being dumped. But imagine how you would feel if you were the one who did the dumping? That is the position that Jane found herself in and she had to go about getting an ex back.

Jane’s so called friend Cheryl told her that her boyfriend Jim had been sleeping with another woman. Without verifying the information or even asking Jim about it, Jane confronted Jim and accused him of having an affair.

Jim was flabbergasted! This took Jim by complete surprise because he had no inkling that the rumor was circulating, and as he didn’t do a good job of defending himself, Jane unceremoniously dumped him.

A few days later, Jane found out that Cheryl had been lying for her own jealous, petty reasons. Now Jane was in a quandary. Getting an ex back was important to her, but she also wanted to save face.

Jane called up Jim and explained what had happened. But Jim was in no mood to take her back. Jane had hurt him by not trusting him and not even talking things over with him.

Getting an ex back took all of Jane’s wiles. She also unknowingly used some of the strategies of a new system called: The Magic Of Making Up.

First of all, Jane wrote Jim a long letter of apology. She took responsibility for what happened and promised that it would never happen again. She reminded Jim that they had a long history together and that they had shared some beautiful times.

She said that she didn’t want to throw all of that away. She told him that the reason she acted the way she did was because she loved him and couldn’t stand the though of his being with another woman. The thought of losing him forever was painful.

After she had mailed the letter, she didn’t bother him with constant texts or phone calls. She figured that getting an ex back after a situation like this one required that she give Jim his space.

When she did run into Jim, she was as nice as she could be. She worked positive memories into the conversation casually. She didn’t apologize any further though. She had told him both in person and in writing that she was sorry and let it go at that.

One day, Jane got tickets for Jim’s favorite band which was in town for one concert only. She asked Jim to go with her “just as friends.” In this way, she opened the door to a future relationship without crowding him.

Getting an ex back after you have behaved badly and dumped him is difficult. Not only do you have the embarrassment of having to apologize, but you almost have to start from scratch again on the relationship. Rebuilding the trust is a key component in this period.

Jim and Jane did eventually get back together. Jim came to see that Jane’s outburst was the act of a jealous woman who deeply loved him. He saw it as a mistake that they could both grow from. Their relationship became stronger than ever.

Jane took the right approach to getting her ex back. You could get an ex back too. Check out our website at: GettingAnExBackNow.com.

How to Choose the Best Skin Care Creams by Ellen Gardner

Choosing the best skin care creams doesn’t have to be difficult. As a matter of fact, after you’re done reading this article you’ll quickly realize it’s not just about the product itself, but also a matter of who is getting the most value out of the ingredients.

What I’m going to attempt in this article is to show you the difference between the best natural skin care cream products and the ones that you may simply want to avoid.

Know what to look for.

When choosing the best skin creams, we have to look carefully at the ingredients. The ingredients themselves will give us the key to knowing what works and what doesn’t.

For example, what key ingredients are going to produce the outcome that you desire? Are you looking for an anti-aging cream, or a moisturizing cream? The key is to know what you want and how to achieve that result within the ingredients of the product.

So doing a little research on the desired ingredients is the first step. But then we need an eye for how the manufacturer of these products applies these ingredients to the product itself.

Once this is accomplished things get a little easier for us. But we must keep in mind that one of the key factors that drive most of us to a decision is price, not just the active ingredient within the product.

But again, we must be careful when it comes to these two attributes of our decision-making. Sometimes when comparing products and are only looking at the price as the definitive point of our choice, we are misguided into actually purchasing what we don’t want.

For example, a lot of manufacturers sell for cheaper because of the concentration level, or lack there of, of their ingredients. Let’s say you’re comparing two products that have virtually the same ingredients.

You look at product A, a brand name product, and say to yourself, I’m going with this one because it has the same ingredients as product B, the best natural skin care cream, but is ten dollars cheaper.

First, we get duped because we don’t see the finer details. We see the same ingredients, but not the level, or amount of that ingredient within the actual product.

Now let’s take a closer look.

Let’s say product A is advertising the same active ingredient as product B. But now we must ask ourselves about the concentration level.

The best natural skin care cream may have this active ingredient at a much higher level than product A. As a matter of fact, product A may only have a slight value of this ingredient just so they can advertise it!

Think about it, if marketing costs so much, the cost of that marketing must be cut somewhere else. And if a certain ingredient is desirable to the market, then that ingredient must be allowed to be advertised on the label.

But no one is sharing with you how much of that ingredient is actually in the product did they?

So now tell me who is getting the benefit of that ingredient? That’s right, the manufacturer of product A, not you.

The smartest thing to do when looking for the best skin creams is to take a closer look at the ingredients. This way you’ll know what is in there for you, or the manufacture’s best interest.

And if you want to really beat the odds, look for the best natural skin care cream and its ingredients. The more information you get, the better.

Most people find themselves asking “What can I do to get my ex girlfriend back” following a breakup. They begin to start thinking and philosophizing about everything that could have been done differently.

They even begin to make plans about apology letters and other things that might be able to help them score their relationship back.

This tends to be a dead end for one reason above all else: Because you can never really tell what the real reasons were behind a breakup.

Women become emotional and sometimes they do not even know what led to the break up at hand and they may not know what is making them feel the way they do.

In many circumstances it is only harmful to lose all your energy trying to figure out what went wrong.

The first main strategy to answer the question about “what can I do to get my ex girlfriend back” is to forget about the relationship for a while, putting your energy into something else.

Go out, make friends, have fun, network, and forget about women in general. Set some realistic goals about expanding your repertoire when it comes to seduction and meeting people.

Give yourself a couple of months and make changes in your life. Take some time away from your ex and it will work wonders.

————————————-

Sponsored by The Magic Of Making Up

————————————-

The effect that strategies like this will have, is that it will allow you to make gradual changes in your life. And in how you perceive the subject of relationships.

After a few months, you may have a much better idea of how you want to proceed with your ex.

Do you still want to get back together with her? Or are you ready to move on? Act accordingly.

If you still want to get back together with her, it might be time to figure out how she is feeling about you.

Now is your chance to be a little more direct when it comes to getting your ex girlfriend back. You need to play strategically, however.

Do not simply beg her to get back with you, because this is not a good time to be emotional.

Instead, what you should be doing is playing things cool with your ex. If you have spent enough time apart from her, she is probably missing you as badly as you are missing her.

Play hard to get a little (don’t over do it) and show her that you are doing fine without her. This will inspire her to really rethink things.

And if getting back together with your ex really is meant to be, now is the time when it will become apparent.

Be careful not to analyze things too much, because over analyzing may prevent you from acting the right way when trying to figure out “what can I do to get my ex girlfriend back”.

Just take things slow and play them cool and you should be fine.

Are you feeling like everything you do pushes your ex away further? Is this describing your situation to a tee? Are you asking “What can I do to get my ex boyfriend back” at every turn?

Here are some tips that will greatly improve your chances of getting back together with your ex boyfriend.

Obviously right now you are serious about saving or rekindling your relationship, which is what led you to this article in the first place.

But if you are feeling overly anxious to get your ex back, you may be behaving in the wrong way, causing your ex to pull away naturally.

It is human nature in general to resist this kind of pressure. Struggling against human nature is completely pointless, and it will only make matters worse.

Are you calling your ex too much, constantly writing him e-mails or text messaging him? Are you trying to make him feel sorry for you?

If you are doing these things, stop! If you are asking yourself ” What can I do to get my ex boyfriend back”, then you need to stop doing these things right now.

So What can I do to get my ex boyfriend back? Follow this strategy instead.

You are going to need to take a completely fresh approach. Begin by breaking contact off for a while, doing your own thing.

During this time where there is no communication between you and your ex boyfriend, you can focus on ways that you can improve your own personal life, rather than focusing on the relationship issues at hand.

———————————–

Read more detailed strategies on how to get your ex back in this new ebook. The Magic Of Making Up

———————————–

This is going to be a challenging time, and it is going to require discipline to prevent you from returning to your old ways.

During this time, your ex is going to experience a shift in how he feels about you, since you will no longer be pursuing him. You may become mysterious to him in some ways, because he is not sure what you are doing or feeling.

This is actually something that can work in your favor. Now your ex is in a position to actually miss you, which is not possible when you are smothering him.

You must remember that the key to this strategy and repairing a break up is to work with human nature rather than attempting to work against it.

If you are wondering ” What can I do to get my ex boyfriend back”, now you should have a fairly basic understanding on how common mistakes can be avoided.

Once you implement this basic strategy you can restore a balance and allow your ex to remember why he loved you in the first place.

Just keep yourself grounded and avoid smothering him. Make yourself appear mysterious and he will be reminded why he loved you in the first place.

Play hard to get (don’t over do it) and let him make the first move, and you will come out on top. And then you will stop asking “What can I do to get my ex boyfriend back”
